I’m SO excited Fall is on its way! Don’t get me wrong, Summer has been REAL and all, but I’ve slacked long enough and need that brisk air & apple season to motivate me to complete my growing project list. 🙂
To get you in the spirit, my kids and I have made a list of things we like about FALL:
– Cooler temps
– S’mores by the fire
– Apple Picking
– School starts (that one was mine) ha!
– Routine (also mine)
– Changing Leaves
– Apple Cider
– Apple Doughnuts (see a theme?)
– Carving Pumpkins
– Trick or Treating
– Cinnamon & Cloves
– Indian Corn
– Football Season
– Hot Cocoa
– Jumping in Leaves
– Autumn Breeze
– Afternoon Walks
– Boot Season (also mine)
– Soup and Bread for dinner
– Fuzzy Slippers
…and we could go on and on and on…but we saved the best for last:
PAINT PROJECTS!! 🙂 I don’t know what exactly it is about Fall…I absolutely paint year round but in the Fall I tend to get more done. Perhaps it’s the impending holidays and knowing company will be over soon that motivates me to fluff the house again. Perhaps it’s the slightly cooler weather that makes me rejuvenated and ready to tackle things. Perhaps it’s the fact that the kids are back in school and we can better utilize those free moments. Whatever it is, I am gearing up to get busy! I LOVE LOVE LOVE feeling accomplished and productive. It is SO gratifying. Which is one of the many reasons Annie Sloan paint & upcycling has always appealed to me.
This month, I am offering a slew of workshops including some new “Back to School” themed versions – just for fun! Y’all know I am an over-themer so I just HAD to.
I will explain what Detention and Extra Credit are soon. Stay tuned for that! 🙂
