If you follow us on social media (Facebook or Instagram) then you likely have already seen this gorgeous transformation. Perhaps you’d like to rest your eyes on it again, though…it’s really that good!
Our friend Noel of Beam and Bloom asked us to help her create a custom finish for her design client. The existing antique piece of furniture had good bones but it was dark and dated and not doing any favors for the space.
Upon reviewing her design scheme, we opted for Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Napoleonic Blue (coincidentally my favorite of all her colors) with a Black Wax finish. In order to achieve this look at home, you need two coats of Napoleonic Blue, one coat of Clear Wax, and one finishing coat of Black Wax to deepen the hue and offer dimension. The existing hardware was updated with a sweep of Gold Gilding Wax.
