Weekly Update & Halloween Fun

HAPPY FALL!!! I can’t believe it’s almost Hump Day already…this week is flying by and as busy as ever.

Aside from stocking up on the Gruet (the sparkling wine – Champagne style – that has become the {verdigreen} signature drink of choice), ordering the Apple Cider doughnuts from Montclair Bread Company, and confirming performance times with the entertainment (John J Cali School of Music singers), we are cleaning, rearranging, and removing larger pieces so there is enough room to stand and enjoy the show whilst mixing and mingling. Remember to stop by this Friday, September 26th from 6-8pm – more info here.

Thursday morning we have a photo shoot at the shop (I know, how exciting!) to prepare for…it’s a series that tells a story in images about local Makers (like me! yay!) that I am super honored to have been selected for. More info on that later!

Meanwhile Chidi and I have been busy revamping the window for Fall/Halloween which has been lots of fun. We’ve used Chalk Paint to upcycle skulls and acorns AND to tie-dye fabric. CAN YOU EVEN?? It’s seriously amazing and has inspired me to create an upholstered piece using the same method. Check out a few snapshots of our progress below:

Every week we have UPS shipments to send out (did you know that if you order your paint online and live in the Greater NYC Tri-State area your package typically arrives the next business day?), customers to meet, paint techniques to teach, furniture to custom paint, and artists to welcome to the {verdigreen} community. We accept huge orders of Annie Sloan goodies via freight, make note of our shop needs, teach workshops, and take time to address each and every message and question we receive. We update our website, Instagram, Tweet, Facebook, and Etsy in our “down time.” *maniacal laughter*

The shop is bustling and busy and that’s a beautiful thing!

With Gratitude,
