In the midst of our busy Summer, we received a new product in our workshop: Miss Mustard Seed Milk Paint! We are really excited to experiment with this new medium and have enjoyed incorporating it into our latest paint projects.
Here’s some info straight from Miss Mustard Seed’s website to explain a bit about Milk Paint and below are some photos of one of our projects we painted in the color “Trophy” and sealed with Hemp Oil:
One quart of milk paint covers approximately 70 sq. feet. Simply mix this powder with water- it’s that easy! A Milk Paint finish is unique and can range from a solid color to a stain, it all depends on how much water you add! It can be used on any porous surface without a primer. It will never chip or peel on porous surfaces as it soaks in and binds with the substrate.
We love the Farmhouse look this piece showcased with the Milk Paint & stained wood top. We honored the gorgeous antique Empire Dresser by using natural products and not sanding down the original finish prior to beautifying. That’s something to feel good about! 🙂
We sell Miss Mustard Seed both in our Montclair shop and online here.
